OUR BELIEFS

The purpose of this statement of beliefs of Restoration Community Church is to affirm the importance on the one true eternal Gospel while raising believers up into life through the finished work of Christ.

  1. We believe in the Scriptures of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments in their original writing as fully inspired of God and accept them as the supreme and final authority for faith, instruction, and life.

  2. We believe in one God, and the Church built on Jesus as the cornerstone by whom believers are built together as to fulfill the greatest commandments to Love God, Love others, and carry the Gospel worldwide.

  3. We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, the Son Jesus, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible. He sovereignly upholds, governs, and sustains all creation according to His perfect wisdom and purpose.

  4. We believe that God created man and woman in His own image; that Adam sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of sin for all humanity which is death; physically and spiritually.

  5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, died for our sins, paid for penalty for humanity’s sin, and that all who believe in Him are justified and made righteous by faith on the grounds of His shed blood on the cross.

  6. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus, His ascension into Heaven, and His present life as our High Priest, Intercessor, and Eternal King.

  7. We believe in heaven and eternal life following our bodily death on earth for the believer in Christ, and that no one has to be condemned to eternal separation from God because of Christ’s sacrifice.

  8. We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God in the family of God.

  9. We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit; empowering, equipping, and maturing believers in Godly character. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit available to all believers in accordance with Scripture.

  10. We believe in the return of Jesus Christ by whom will judge all humanity to either eternal life or eternal separation while bringing creation into redemption from the curse of sin.

  11. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances - baptism in water and the Lord's Supper. Each is to be observed as acts of obedience and are not necessary for eternal salvation. Baptism is the immersion of the believer as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection, and that the Lord's Supper is the partaking of the emblems symbolic of the Savior's broken body and shed blood in remembrance of His sacrificial death till He comes.

  12. We believe that physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing is provided for by Jesus through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit and is an integral part of the Gospel.

  13. We believe that without holiness no one may see the Lord. Salvation brings us into holiness through which we can have relationship with God. We believe sanctification is an ongoing process by which the Holy Spirit renews our way of thinking, feeling, believing, and acting to continually be more in alignment with God’s design for holy living.

  14. We believe that Satan and the fallen angels rebelled against God and continue to oppose His purposes. Our responsibility as the Church is to walk as empowered carriers of the Gospel given through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Jesus Christ has decisively defeated the powers of darkness, we the Church advance the Kingdom until His final return.

  15. We believe God still speaks to His Church today through dreams, visions, and seeking of revelation from the Holy Spirit which always must align with all teaching from Scripture.
